We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to the Website and undertake to adopt the technical and organizational measures appropriate to the level of risk of the personal data we collect.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have in relation to it.
Legal framework
This privacy policy is adapted to current Dutch and European regulations on the protection of personal data. Specifically, it complies with the following:
-
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
-
The Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (Uitvoeringswet Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming, UAVG).
-
The Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), which governs the use of cookies and similar technologies.
Registration of personal data
In compliance with the GDPR and the UAVG, the personal data provided by visitors to the Website and collected by Solstrides Projects is recorded in our systems, and a record of processing activities is maintained.
Principles applicable to the processing of personal data
The processing of personal data is subject to the following principles set out in Article 5 of the GDPR:
-
Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: your consent, or another valid legal basis, is obtained before your data is processed, and you are given clear information about the purposes of collection.
-
Purpose limitation: personal data is collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes only.
-
Data minimisation: only the data strictly necessary for those purposes is collected.
-
Accuracy: personal data is kept accurate and, where necessary, up to date.
-
Storage limitation: personal data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
-
Integrity and confidentiality: personal data is processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security and confidentiality.
-
Accountability: Solstrides Projects is responsible for, and able to demonstrate compliance with, these principles.
Categories of personal data collected
The Website collects the following categories of personal data:
-
Contact form data: name, email address, and any other information you choose to include in your message.
-
Cookie and analytics data: technical identifiers, browsing behaviour on the Website, approximate location, and device/browser information, collected via cookies and Google Analytics.
No special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR (such as data concerning health, religion, or political opinions) are knowingly collected through the Website.
Cookies and Google Analytics
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve its content and performance.
-
Necessary cookies: required for the Website (hosted and built on Wix) to function correctly. These do not require consent.
-
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): collect aggregated, statistical information about visits to the Website, such as pages viewed, time spent, and general location. These are placed only with your consent, given via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings on the Website, or by adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Note that Google, as a data processor/third party for analytics, may process data outside the European Economic Area; where this occurs, Solstrides Projects relies on the safeguards offered by Google's standard contractual clauses.

Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form, and/or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us. Analytics cookies are processed on the basis of your consent, given via the cookie banner.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Where completing the contact form is required to respond to your enquiry, you will be informed of this at the point of collection.
Purposes of the processing
Personal data submitted through the contact form is used to respond to your enquiry and to maintain any relationship arising from it. Analytics data is used to understand how the Website is used and to improve its content, functioning and navigation. Data is not used for any purpose incompatible with these.
Data retention periods
Contact form submissions are kept for 12 months from the date of submission, or until you request their deletion, whichever is earlier. Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account, currently set to 14 months.
Recipients of personal data
Personal data is stored on Wix's hosting infrastructure, which acts as our website host and data processor for data submitted through the Website. Analytics data is processed by Google (Google Analytics) as a separate data processor. Personal data may also be shared with professional advisers (e.g. insurers, accountants, legal counsel) to the extent reasonably necessary, or where required to comply with a legal obligation in administrative or judicial proceedings.
Solstrides Projects does not sell personal data to third parties. Where any processor is located outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are used to protect your data.
